Bile is actually yellowish, the brown colour is a result of the digestive processes as it passes through the small & large intestines.

I thought the dodo was extinct. Died out in the 1800 is did not it. And I thought the bird had a greyish feather color, not brown. Are they still around?

It is to do with the bilirubin excreted by the liver- it is a waste product from the blood which is filtered out and colours your poo- that is why people with liver disease have very pale poo and people with internal bleeding very dark or even red poo

Faeces is the color that it is because of the bile produced in the gall bladder. Bile is brown and when you have a bowel movement, bile is excreted. So, that is why.
